City of Merrill takes ownership of Anson Gilkey property

MERRILL - The city of Merrill will try to turn an old manufacturing area into a new, ready to build industrial spot. The city took ownership of the Anson Gilkey property in town Friday.

The property used to house the large Anson-Gilkey and Hurd mill. The company filed for bankruptcy in the 70s.
