Thousands of turkeys will be killed in Wisconsin because of bird flu

MADISON - Thousands of turkeys will be killed in Wisconsin because of bird flu.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture says H-5 avian influenza was found in a turkey flock in Chippewa County.

The property where the flu was found has a flock of 87,000 turkeys.

The farm is now quarantined.
