17-year-old double homicide suspect pleads not guilty by reason of mental defect

An expert will decide whether a 17-year-old is mentally fit to stand trial for allegedly killing her mother and stepfather. That's after the she plead not guilty by reason of mental defect Monday.

Prosecutors say Ashlee Martinson shot 37-year-old Thomas Ayers,and then stabbed 40-year-old Jennifer Ayers more than 30 times.

They think that happened in eastern Oneida County in March.
