Adult smoking rates continue to drop in Wisconsin

MADISON - Fewer than one in five adults smokes in Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported Monday that the adult smoking rate is 18 percent, a 2 percentage point drop from 2012. It is consistent with the national smoking rate of 17.8 percent.

The 18 percent rate in Wisconsin is the lowest on record.
