ARBOR VITAE - A few small things can make all the difference when it comes to your kids riding a bike this summer. Simple items like blinking lights can keep kids safe on roads and trails in the area.
Safety experts like Arbor Vitae Rescue Squad Member Ashley Stelmack says many kids also just assume that people driving cars actually see them.
"Remember to look up, look at what's in front of you. And as soon as they did that, it kind of opens their eyes like, something can hurt me," Stelmack said.
