Be aware of Swimmer's Itch in lakes and ponds

NORTHWOODS - If you plan on taking a dip in the lake to cool off from these warmer temperatures, health workers want to remind you of Swimmer's Itch in some Northwoods lakes and ponds.

Swimmers Itch is an itchy or burning rash that may pop up after you swim. It's actually caused by parasites that infect animals living on or near the water.
