Bear cubs return to the wild thanks to local efforts

RHINELANDER - Twelve black bear cubs will return to the wild this weekend.

Wild Instincts found these cubs in the spring after they had been separated from their mothers.

Black bears often don't survive if they get separated from their mothers. They weighed fewer than 10 pounds.
