Blue-green algae bloom found in Pelican Lake

ONEIDA COUNTY - Workers with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources have found blue-green algae in Pelican Lake in Oneida County.

Health experts say you should avoid using or touching the water because of toxins produced by this type of blue-green algae. The algae are microscopic organisms that are naturally in Wisconsin lakes, streams and ponds at low levels.
