Chippewa tribes ask for EPA review of mine

ASHLAND - Six Chippewa Indian tribes are asking federal environmental regulators to review the proposed iron ore mine in northern Wisconsin.

The tribes say the proposed mine in Ashland and Iron counties would pollute waters downstream to Lake Superior.
