DNR warns about increase in blue-green algae

MADISON - The Wisconsin Department of Resources is urging boaters, anglers and swimmers to be on the lookout for blue-green algae in their favorite lakes.

Blue-green algae grows quickly in water bodies with high nutrient levels such as phosphorus or nitrogen.
