Federal law again protects gray wolves in the Great Lakes region

TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN - Federal law one again protects gray wolves in the western Great Lakes region.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will publish a rule Friday designating wolves in Michigan and Wisconsin as ``endangered''.

Wolves in Minnesota will be listed as ``threatened.''
