RHINELANDER - Local firefighters spend three days in July raising funds with their boots to help area kids with Muscular Dystrophy. The Fill The Boot campaign had more than a dozen Rhinelander firefighters at the intersection of County Road W and Stevens Street Thursday.
The three day event is organized by the Muscular Dystrophy Association or MDA.
"A lot of time the guys are in full bunker gear out here, hefting those boots, it's hot, sometimes it rains, but they're out here because of kids like Robbie," said Carrie Ivey.
