TOMAHAWK - Loons usually nest in isolated places, not on a raft.
But when a family north of Tomahawk noticed a loon nested on their raft, they knew they had to act fast.
Homeowner Terri Lundgren's initial reaction was panic. "I'm really into birds, and particularly loons, and I knew that it was not going to survive being on this raft as it was teetering around with all of the waves," says Lundgren.
