Lumberjack show offers close up look of Northwoods logging tools & techniques

RHINELANDER - The All American Lumberjack Show at the Boom Lake Log Jam in Rhinelander Saturday gave people the chance to see lumberjack work and competitions up close.

Loggers can thank heavy machinery for changing the way they work here in the Northwoods. Loggers don't really need dozens of lumberjacks in the woods anymore. Lumberjacks these days don't use quiet tools, but Nate Greenberg, who performs for the lumberjack show, says they're the tools of choice for the traveling lumberjack show.
