Plover man gets probation for assaulting girl

STEVENS POINT - A man convicted of repeatedly sexually assaulting a young girl has been sentenced to probation in Portage County.

34-year-old Seth Smith pleaded no contest to 3 counts of fourth-degree sexual assault. The 9-year-old girl told investigators the assaults started sometime when she was between 5 and 6 years old.
