BANCROFT - In an interview done by the Stevens Point Journal, the Portage County Sheriff said there was a report of a shooting in the town of Bancroft
The sheriff couldn't confirm that shots had been fired, but it has said the suspect is held up in a house. Negotiators are talking with the person.
Four blocks in Bancroft are shut down. Law enforcement is escorting people out of the area using an armored truck.
