MERRILL - A four-million dollar donation from an anonymous donor could give leaders in Merrill the opportunity to build a new city pool.
The city closed its pool at Third Street's Stange Park in 2012. The pool didn't meet new federal requirements for people with disabilities. Parks and Recreation Director Dan Wendorf said it didn't make sense to make the changes to such an old pool, but the new opportunity could save them at least five years of work and fundraising.
