Requests come to reopen proposed mine land to hunting and fishing

MADISON - Conservationists want Ashland County land being considered for a mine opened back up for hunting and fishing.

The call came Friday from the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation.

That was just one day after Gogebic Taconite said it may drop Ashland County from the project, and focus just on land in Iron County.
