Residents call weeds on Little St. Germain Lake worst in years

ST. GERMAIN - Fishermen know weeds are part of the challenge of fishing, but how many is too many? Some people say weeds on a Northwoods lake are the worst they've seen.

Little Saint Germain Lake has always had weeds, but they're especially thick this season, making a part of the lake known as the South Bay a menace to travel through.

"It's been terrible," says Pat Stejskal, a concerned citizen. "The weed just gets stuck in all the motors and they have to back it up. You can hear them revving it up over here trying to get rid of the weeds."
