Sex offender to get released in Wausau

WAUSAU - A convicted sex offender will get released back into the Wausau area next week, according to the Wausau Police Department.

32-year-old George Fischer was convicted on two counts of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child. Those crimes happened in 2004.

The Wausau Police Department says he'll live at a transitional home near the Marathon County Courthouse.
