Vote on LDF Grant Funding Delayed

MADISON - Republican state Representative Dean Kaufert says he will not call for a vote to revoke a $250,000 grant given to help build a Native American cultural center. Kaufert had proposed revoking the funding after Lake Superior Chippewa tribes dramatically increased their walleye spearfishing goals, a move Kaufert says would hurt tourism in northern Wisconsin.
