Wastewater Treatment Plant workers take steps to control E. coli

PHILLIPS - Leaders in Phillips saw a rise in E Coli numbers last month. People working for the Philips Wastewater Treatment Plant are still dealing with the impact of winter. Broken equipment at the plant let unfiltered runoff boost E. coli counts to unsafe levels in the Phillips Chain of Lakes last month.

"RBCs, the rotating biological contactors, they are our secondary treatment process," explains Bronson Thalacker, Phillips Public Works Director.
