Wisconsin consumer spending behind national pace, 3% growth in 2012

ACROSS WISCONSIN - Wisconsinites didn't spend as much on personal products in 2012 compared to the rest of the country. Consumer spending grew by three percent in Wisconsin between 2011 and 2012. That's less than the national average of four percent.

The U.S. Department of Commerce's numbers look at what people spend their money on.
