Wisconsin gets grants from the US government to take care of the Great Lakes

WISCONSIN - It's a part of the Sea Grant Program.

The director of the Wisconsin's program thinks it's important to monitor water quality in the Great Lakes.

In the late 1970s and 1980s, scientists were dealing with pollution in the Great Lakes from things like factories.
