EAGLE RIVER - The fishing opener probably couldn't have come on a better weekend this year.
The sun and warm temperatures are one of the reasons businesses say this past weekend's opener was a success.
Eagle Sports Center in Eagle River had a 250 percent increase in business compared to last year.
Employees say the store had its best opening fishing weekend in more than a decade.
