UPDATE: Armed robbery suspect makes first court appearance

Police accuse a Wausau man of holding up a Weston business on Sunday night.

Thomas McKay, 20, made his first court appearance on Tuesday. He is charged with a felony for armed robbery with threat of force.

Everest Metro Police say a man believed to be McKay demanded money from a Sugar Shack employee who was alone in the store. Police believe McKay wore a mask and was armed with a knife and gun. They say he left with cash, although no one was injured in the robbery.
