Man and boy drown in Wisconsin River in Columbia County

TOWN OF DEKORRA - A 29-year-old man and his 4-year-old son have drowned in the Wisconsin River in the Town of Dekorra.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office says in a statement that it got a call about 1 p.m. Friday that five people were in the river and yelling for help.

Sheriff Dennis Richards says they were on a sandbar that gave way.
