Leaders at the Florence School District will receive more than $91,000 check from the National Forest Income (NFI) program Thursday to help with their district budget.
The money comes from a change in the 2013-2015 Wisconsin biennium budget. The change shifted all national forest income, from timber harvests, from the federal government to school districts in national forest lands in relation to their acreage in the district.
