Heavy rain creates minor flooding in Appleton area

FOX VALLEY - Ditches and other low areas in the Fox River Valley are flooding after heavy rainfall. Post-Crescent Media (http://post.cr/QBC1pO ) reports Monday's rain in Appleton broke a record for the day set in 1942. The city received 1.9 inches of rain by 7 a.m., breaking the previous record of 1.76 inches. Full story: WJFW
