Former mayor accused of embezzlement

ESCANABA, MI - The former mayor of Escanaba has been charged with embezzling more than $100,000 from the local Eagles Club.

State police say Leo Evans was arrested Monday. He appeared in Delta County District Court in the Upper Peninsula and was released on bond.
