Tornado damages homes and knocks out power

COLFAX - A weak tornado struck the western Wisconsin village of Colfax, downing trees, tearing roofs off homes and knocking out power.

Police Chief Bill Anderson says the brief tornado struck without warning ``right on main street'' around 3:15 p.m. Friday.
