Turkey season begins on Saturday

MADISON - Hunters will go after turkeys starting this Saturday.

The state Department of Natural Resources says more than 80,000 people applied for a permit for the fall season.

Last winter was harsh, but biologists say that didn't have a widespread impact on the state's turkey population.
