Turkey observations increase

NORTHWOODS - We could see stronger wild turkey populations in Northern Wisconsin this year. a preliminary survey from the DNR shows that turkey sightings are on the rise. Turkey sightings jumped by 73% in the Northeast DNR region and by 12% in the northern region. The increases are compared to sightings from 2013. DNR specialists say one particular month is key for wild turkey survival.
