Solid Waste Superintendent offers tips on fall composting

RHINELANDER - A compost pile can help clean up your yard and get a head start on spring gardening. You can use the fall leaves as well as pumpkins and old leafy vegetables to make a compost pile. Then just add a few shovelfuls of topsoil into the mix.

The secret to making a good mix is maintaining the pile.
