Cold, snow can be positives for cranberry growers in the winter

EAGLE RIVER - Northwoods cranberry beds look like large frozen ponds at this time of year.

Some of the results of cold, snowy weather are actually helpful to cranberry growers around this time.

Cold temperatures in the Northwoods meant ice could freeze over the beds early this year.
