Dozens rally near Milwaukee in support of police officers

WAUWATOSA - Dozens of people have gathered at a rally in suburban Milwaukee to show their support for police officers.

Milwaukee TV station WTMJ reports (http://bit.ly/1xkFnQM ) the group gathered Thursday in Wauwatosa along Highway 100 near a shopping mall. Images showed the group holding signs that said, ``Support your cops,'' and, ``Police lives matter.''

The station reports supporters of Dontre Hamilton, a black man who was shot and killed by a white Milwaukee police officer, also gathered in the same area at one point. The groups were peaceful.
