Scrap metal used to buy medical equipment, save lives

MINOCQUA - Scrap metal in Minocqua can save lives. The Island City Masonic Lodge uses scrap metal donations to buy defibrillators for the community.

The group has donated 16 defibrillators since 2007. The machine can help keep someone alive when they go into cardiac arrest.

The lodge decided to collect scrap metal because it's something many people have laying around.
